Diamond Hill

Diamond Hill is a graphically simple but ultimately creative online and mobile slot from Tom Horn Gaming. Launched in November 2019, the slot features diamonds aplenty and is set in the frozen wilderness of North America. However, this is not your typical animal and nature-themed game; far from it. On the contrary, the slot is instead a mixture of classic slot gaming with diamonds taking on the central role in the theme and on the reels.

The Tom Horn Gaming developed slot is played over a unique 6-reel structure. Upon those reels sit 36 paylines, none of which you are going to be able to adjust. What you can tinker with, though, are your bets. These stretch from 50p a spin up to £100 a game. Having a crack at Diamond Hill is not going to be cheap. However, with a bit of luck, players can walk away with a non-progressive prize which is worth 200x their stake in this game. The slot has an industry-standard RTP rate of 96%. Of course, like most modern video slots, this one is a highly volatile release.

Special Features

Players will note that they are not spoilt for choice when it comes to special features. Tom Horn Gaming developed slots are known for paying short shrift to special features, and that is the case here, too. Diamond Hill does have wild symbols, and it can appear on the first and fifth reels, but that’s about all there is to it. Fortunately, those wild symbols do have one or two added perks to serve up to players.

When a wild symbol land on the reels, it will cough up a multiplier which ranges from 1x up to 9x. Should you land both wild symbols on the screen, then you’ll land larger and more prosperous multipliers for your wins.

Bonus Features

There is only one other feature woven into the Diamond Hill slot, and that is a re-spin bonus. To trigger that, players are going to need to land those wild symbols once more. Whenever winning combinations feature wild symbols, a re-spin will be granted. These re-spins will continue to come if players keep winning. Only when no new wins are inbound will the feature come to an end.

The lack of bonus features in Diamond Hill is going to frustrate some players and could have an adverse effect on the chances of this Tom Horn slot being a runaway success story.

The distinct lack of features genuinely stops Diamond Hill from becoming the UK casino slot it has the potential to be. Players will note that without a surplus of goodies, the slot will struggle to compete against other titles. Moreover, Tom Horn Gaming haven’t really justified why they are charging 50p a spin on a 36-line slot, which doesn’t come brimming over with features. Players may very well be impressed with the theme and imagery in the game, but that novelty will soon wear off when they start wagering on this game.
