Golden Knight II

Golden Knight II is a fantasy and fairy tale-themed slot. Developed by High 5 Games, the slot game is the sequel to the original Golden Knight slot release. It contains similar graphics to its predecessor, although it offers a few more features than the first game in this series. Golden Knight II is still incredibly basic, though, so it is unlikely to appeal to a huge array of players. Nonetheless, it is worth taking a look at it.

This High 5 Games produced slot features a generic 5 reels, and upon those reels are 40 paylines. Stakes in this slot cost at least 80p a spin and can set you back up to £800 a game. This makes it incredibly expensive to play. The house edge of 96.5% and medium volatility gameplay is welcomed, but that minimum bet is a tall order for many players. The game was officially unveiled in October 2019, and given how recent it is, players will rightly be expecting a lot more from this release.

Special Features

Fortunately, there are wilds in this slot. They appear as enlarged icons, which is handy as they also double up as the best paying symbols in the game. They can replace all symbols save for other special icons.

Some of the banners which appear on the reels have miniature wilds on them. These will act as wild symbols, but a knight can also dish out cash prizes with them, should he collect them on the end of his lance. This is known as the Scatter Bucks mode.

Following some (though not all) losing spins, one symbol may be nudged at random. When this occurs, it may just push one or two symbols into a winning combo. Don’t expect this to happen too often, though.

Bonus Features

One of the other special symbols to appear on the reels of this slot are scatters. Players need at least three but can gain as many as four of them to trigger the free spin round. Those scatters must appear on specific reels, namely the second to fifth reels. Those players who trigger the feature with three scatters will win 8 free games. Managing to trigger the round with 4 scatters offers up 25 free spins to players. Players can find that the knight is a lot more likely to hook banners (with the mini-wild symbols on them) in this feature, which should see you stand a better chance of bagging wins with those icons.

One can clearly see that High 5 Games has tried to be original and inventive with the Golden Knight II slot. The knight lancing banners with wilds and multipliers is a nice feature, and many players will admit that. However, it doesn’t warrant an 80p minimum stake. There is just too little going on in the Golden Knight II slot for this casino game to expect players to wager such high sums on what is, essentially, a relatively bog-standard slot release.
