Spinal Tap

Spinal Tap

Blueprint Gaming’s Spinal Tap is, of course, based on the famous mockumentary film, This Is Spinal Tap. In that film, a fictional English heavy metal band are satirised on their travels across the globe on a tour. Despite being underrated when it first appeared in 1984, the film has gone on to be a cult classic. The slot machine it inspired is very much in the same vein. Of course, Blueprint Gaming has added its own touch to the UK casino slot release, and that makes an intriguing slot game to play if you like this sort of theme.

Spinal Tap is played over 5 reels, and as many as 2,187 paylines can appear on those reels at various points of gameplay. To kick off with, just 243 paylines are present on the reels, and having a spin on the game costs as little as 40p a turn. Upping the ante can see players wager up to £400 a game on this slot. Successful spins could yield non-progressive jackpot prizes worth up to 500 times a bet, while the game has an adjustable RTP rate which starts at 96.92%. That RTP percentage rises depending on the bonus round selected by players.

Special Features

There is a wild symbol in Spinal Tap, and this plectrum (green in colour) can substitute for all symbols save for the devil-horned skull scatter. Neither the scatter icon nor the guitar pick can dole out cash prizes on their own. Instead, the best-paying icon is the Spinal Tap logo.

Players have the chance to place a side-bet if they wish in this game. It is costly (at 50x your bet) but essentially buys players the 2,187-line gaming structure. A spinning record will also dole out extra wilds, expanding wilds or added scatter symbols onto the reels of your game.

Landing three or more horned scatters will trigger a selection of golden records. Players can select one of them to land one of seven possible bonuses.

Bonus Features

If players choose the World Tour, they can snap up total bet multipliers. Opting for the Stonehenge or Encore modes will deliver 11 spins with the former offering frozen wilds, and the latter seeing wilds collected and redistributed on a final Super Spin. The Stairway to Hell mode offers 11 spins with extra spin symbols and multipliers worth up to 11x. All free spins rounds are played out over the 2,187-line structure. The Record Deal bonus or the Don’t Fret It round offer prizes via click and win features. Lastly, the Double Platinum round sees players spin a Wheel of Fortune to win cash prizes, and potentially even trigger the World Tour bonus, too.

Spinal Tap is a refreshing take on the music-themed slot genre. It offers a wealth of goodies, and you are in total control over how your game pans out. Affordable, prosperous and with a super selection of features, there is very little reason not to try your hand on this slot at Gold Rush slots UK.
